WIEDP Announces Informational Event on Government Contracting The Western Illinois Economic Development Partnership would like to announce an opportunity for small business owners in the area to learn how to get registered and certify for government contracting opportunities. Mr. James Kleckner, the author of the award winning book, Winning Government Contracts for Your Small Business, will be hosting two educational sessions regarding government contracting on February 9 and 23 at Black Hawk College in Moline, IL. read more Free Webcast Could Help Local Businesses Save Energy and Money Western Illinois Economic Development Partnership (WIEDP) is notifying small businesses in the area of a free webcast to be held January 18 that could help them reduce their energy costs. The seminar will be held on Tuesday, April 18 from 2-5 p.m. at the Warren-Henderson Farm Bureau building located at 1000 North Main St., Monmouth. read more Business Retention & Expansion Survey Executive Summary The first annual Business Retention and Expansion Survey Report indicates that in general Warren County is a pretty good place to do business. read more Monmouth Recognized as a Historic District Thanks to the efforts of WIEDP’s Community Projects Coordinator Linda Lee Blaine, Monmouth’s downtown has become a nationally recognized historic district. The Western Illinois Economic Development Partnership (WIEDP) nominated the downtown district to promote redevelopment.
