Route 34 Improvement
Route 34 Improvement: The Illinois Department of Transportation is working on the improvement of Route 34 between Gulfport and Monmouth. This improved road will provide a continuous four-lane link from the freeway in Gulfport to the edge of Monmouth. This will improve traffic safety, continuity and capacity.

Galesburg Municipal Airport
Located 15 minutes east of Monmouth and three miles from Galesburg. The longest runway extends 5,793ft. Monmouth Municipal Airport is the oldest continuously operating airport in the Untied States with excellent private aircraft facilities. The lighted runway is 2,900ft. with hangar facilitie on-site.

River Transportation

The Mississippi River is 15 minutes from Monmouth with two public and two private terminals. Mid-America Port Commission (MAPC): Warren County was added into the Port District's jurisdiction in 1999 to provide another economic development tool for the transportation industry. This access allows regional businesses to remain competitive in the international marketplace and to attract new industries by creating interconnected inland water transportation terminal facilities and foreign trade zones. Public Transportation

Community Public Transit is a bus service offered by the Warren Achievement Center which operates in and around the Monmouth area. Burlington Trailways provides charter bus service from the Quad Cities to Macomb, IL with stops in Monmouth and Viola. Connect with the national Burlington Trailways and Greyhound bus system at the Quad City Airport or the Ground Transportation Center
